Mood and hormones are rarely separate stories
Most of the people Shannon sees are women navigating hormones and mood at the same time. Everyone is welcome. Rather than sending you to two offices, both threads are followed in one chart, with one clinician who knows your history.

At your pace, on your terms
Good care begins with understanding. Shannon brings curiosity, attention and respect to every conversation, whether you are in the Monument office or on a video visit from home.
We listen first.
Your first visit is a conversation about your story, your history and what you hope to get from care.
We make a plan together.
Options explained plainly, so you can agree on a practical next step you actually want to take.
We keep the conversation going.
Follow-ups review how things are going, and a reminder arrives about a week before your next visit is due.

Before we meet
Answers to the questions people ask most often before a first visit.
What is the first visit like?
A conversation about what brings you in, your history and your goals. There is time for questions before Shannon talks through possible next steps. New patient visits are longer than follow-ups so nothing feels rushed.
What do I complete before we meet?
Through the patient portal: the new-patient intake, financial policy, privacy notice, consent to treat and telehealth consent. You will also complete short screening questionnaires (the PHQ-9, GAD-7 and PCL-5; the Edinburgh Postnatal Depression Scale if you are pregnant or postpartum). Follow-ups usually repeat the PHQ-9 and GAD-7.
Do you take my insurance?
TrailMind accepts Medicare, Aetna, Colorado Health First (Medicaid), Cigna, Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield of Colorado, and UnitedHealthcare / Optum / UMR. A card on file is required, and copays are collected at the visit.
In person or by video?
Both. The office is at 1864 Woodmoor Dr., Suite 214 in Monument, north of Colorado Springs. Secure video visits are available anywhere in Colorado.
What if I'm running late or need to cancel?
Please book at least 24 hours in advance and give the same notice if you need to cancel. There is a 10-minute grace period for late arrivals; after that the visit is rescheduled. No-show fees are described in the financial policy you sign before your first visit.
What if I'm in crisis right now?
Call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline) or call 911. For a medical emergency call 911. Messages sent through this site and the patient portal are not monitored after hours.
