ADHD in adults
Evaluation and medication management for adults — including the many women first diagnosed after their hormones changed the picture.
Ask about this carePsychiatric care and women's hormonal health from one clinician who has time to listen — in Monument, Colorado and by video across the state.
I'm a family and psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner, board-certified in both. That means the mood, the sleep, the focus, the cycle and the hormones all belong in one chart, with one clinician who knows the whole picture.
Most of the people I see are women navigating hormones and mood at the same time. Everyone is welcome. TrailMind Health & Wellness is a solo practice — when you call, message or sit down for a visit, you're working with me.
How care works hereEvery plan starts with a careful psychiatric evaluation. From there, we follow what your body and your life are actually doing.

Ask about this careThoughtful medication choices, regular check-ins on what is working, and adjustments made with you, not to you.
Ask about this careWhen the week before your period changes who you are. Care for PMDD, cycle-linked mood changes and PCOS-related mood concerns.
Ask about this carePregnancy, the months after birth, feeding, sleep and intrusive thoughts — with medication decisions made carefully for both of you.
Ask about this careMood, sleep, brain fog and hot flashes, treated together. Hormone replacement therapy (HRT) when it's appropriate for you.
Ask about this careThe backbone of every plan: a full psychiatric evaluation, then ongoing medication management with follow-ups that actually happen.

If irritability, despair or anxiety arrive on a schedule and lift when your period starts, that pattern matters. PMDD and cycle-related mood changes are real, common, and treatable. We look at the timing together, rule out what else could be going on, and choose an approach that fits your cycle rather than fighting it.
Track two cycles — even roughly — and bring the pattern to a first visit. If you're not sure, come anyway; we can start tracking together.
Request a first visitAnxiety in pregnancy, mood after birth, intrusive thoughts, feeding and sleep that unravel everything — none of it means you're failing. Perinatal and postpartum mental health is one of the two threads of this practice, and medication decisions are made carefully with both you and your baby in mind.
Reach out even if it feels early. Perinatal and postpartum patients complete the Edinburgh scale before the first visit so we can start from where you actually are.
Request a first visitPerimenopause can start years before periods stop, and it often shows up first as anxiety, low mood, poor sleep or a mind that won't hold a thought. Because I'm certified in both family and psychiatric care, we can treat the mood and the hormones together, including hormone replacement therapy when it's appropriate for you.
Write down when things started to shift and what changed. A first visit covers your history, your symptoms and the options, including whether HRT makes sense.
Request a first visitAdult ADHD is often missed, especially in women, and it can look different across the cycle, after a baby, or in perimenopause. A careful evaluation sorts out attention, anxiety, sleep and hormones, so treatment targets the right thing.
Bring any old report cards, prior evaluations or notes about what focus was like growing up. A first visit is a full evaluation, not a quick screen.
Request a first visitSometimes the hormones aren't the story, and that's fine too. Anxiety, obsessive thoughts and depression get the same unhurried evaluation, a plan you understand, and follow-ups where we look honestly at what's working and adjust.
You don't need the right words. Tell us what a hard day looks like, and we'll take it from there.
Request a first visitGood care starts with understanding. Here is what the first stretch of the trail looks like.
Your first visit is a full evaluation: your story, your history, your cycle and hormones, and what you hope changes. Intake forms and short screening questionnaires are done through the patient portal beforehand, so the visit is for talking.
Medication, hormone therapy, both or neither — you'll leave knowing the options, the trade-offs and the next step. Refills and questions go through the portal between visits.
Follow-ups repeat the PHQ-9 and GAD-7 so we can see change, not guess at it. When your next follow-up is due, the practice sends a reminder about a week ahead, and you can self-schedule any time.
You don't have to separate the mind from the body to get help for either one.
TrailMind Health & Wellness · Monument, ColoradoIt's a full psychiatric evaluation and a real conversation: what brings you in, your history, your cycle and hormones, and what you'd like to be different. There's time for questions before we talk about next steps. You can come to the office in Monument or meet by secure video from anywhere in Colorado.
Through the patient portal: the new-patient intake, financial policy, privacy notice, consent to treat and telehealth consent. You'll also complete short screening questionnaires — the PHQ-9, GAD-7 and PCL-5. Patients who are pregnant or postpartum complete the Edinburgh Postnatal Depression Scale as well. Follow-ups usually repeat the PHQ-9 and GAD-7.

Please book at least 24 hours in advance and give 24 hours' notice if you need to reschedule. There's a 10-minute grace period for late arrivals; after that we'll reschedule so no one's visit is rushed. No-show fees are described in the financial policy you'll review before your first visit.
At the end of each visit we set the next follow-up. About a week before it's due, the practice sends you a reminder so you can schedule. You can also self-schedule through the patient portal any time, and refill requests and messages go through the portal too.
Existing patients can book online through the portal. New patients: tell us a little about what you're looking for and we'll be in touch to schedule a first visit.
